The final stretches
by Wingy on Jun.25, 2011, under Music
Hey all,
A little update on the things happening and yet to come.
First things first, the main site probably will go down soon, so to renew it for the upcoming CD.
The new site will support the look of the cover of ‘Forsaken.’
Soon I will probably share with you more details of ‘Forsaken’, which is as you have guessed, the title of the Full CD, hurrah! I had it revealed a few times before on twitter and Facebook, so if you paid attention, you might have noticed.
Currently the last stretches are going on for the CD. Final recordings, set-ups, etc. I’m a happy bunny when it comes down to popping in to the studio and hearing it progress to the final results.
I’m finishing up the cover and images for the pressing of the cases and such as well.
And as mentioned, new site coming up too! It is all coming so close!
I hope to release the CD, printed as on digital stores by the end of July, depending on if we get a bit delayed or not. Also depending on how fast I get my prints and things in the stores!
The CD Forsaken, hopefully will spark some interest for many people…
I hope the variation will be liked, it is a big gamble in the end. As mentioned in the Social Soundstage interview (see previous blog post), the CD will be a mixture of alternative rock, pure piano and vocals, instrumental tracks, and other assorted melodic things.
I have such brilliant people I work with as well, again Tijl Corremans, made some perfect arrangements on some songs, like for my EP ‘Bloodwings’. Giving the songs a new world yet maintaining the originality from my hand in it. Which is good because I’m way too stubborn to let my songs change too much otherwise! They are like my babies.
But there is also one song on the CD which gets some extra from a Swedish guitarist. First time I speak about it, but, yes, I have had the great opportunity to work with him. Go check out Johannes Forsberg.
But more about this all soon when I can share even more details, of the whens and hows of ‘Forsaken’.
Stay tuned! The end is nigh!
