Wingy is a 22 year old Belgian girl, who goes through daily life under the name of Mieke Vervloet. At a very young age she already discovered the joys of art.
Which shaped her into the one she is now, outlining her whole future. It all started at the age of 5, as she went to learn how to play the violin, and a few years later, the piano. Music really flowed through her veins and when she was 9 she joined a local church choir.
Her life grew to be dedicated to all that, but she did not keep herself to just music. Other arts, such as drawing, writing and photography weren’t left untouched either. At about the age of 12, her love for singing began to grow. And soon she was able to perform on various occasions. One of the most outstanding ones was when she performed ‘Castle on a Cloud’, of ‘Les Miserables’ at the opening of a theatre.
She then got up to the point where she has been able to do rather big things. Sit and draw at a convention, continue her photography, do a few successful auditions here and there…write music…and greatest of all…work on a CD.
Something that once was thought impossible, came true. And now it’s here, that big dream, achieved, the release of ‘Bloodwings’, her first big event in her singing-career.
Her biggest step of all…onto a new path.
After the release of Bloodwings, Wingy been able to require some requests.
Like composing songs for a documentary. Not only did she compose them, also the recording and editing all been on her side. Official release of the DVD was in the month of November, 2009.
But work isn’t done yet, as now it is time, to work on that Full CD.
